McLean, VA (September 17, 2016) – After opening the season with 3 solid victories, including a hard nosed 16-10 conference win against Broad Run, a 15-7 defensive classic against crosstown rival Dominion, and a 46-14 blowout over Falls Church to celebrate the dedication of their new turf field, the 3-0 Potomac Falls Panthers took their show on the road to take on the Langley Saxons on Friday, September 16th.
After opening the game with a three-and-out, the Panthers scored six touchdowns on seven possessions to defeat the Saxons, 41-28 in McLean.
RB Kash Jackson led the way for the Panthers with three rushing touchdowns and an 86-yard kickoff return TD. WR Kaevon Chase continued his stellar play on the season buy hauling in two touchdown grabs from QB Hunter Lawall – one for 30 yards, another for 21.
The Potomac Falls defense struggled to contain Langley QB Dan Hosley who scored three rushing TDs and threw for a fourth, but the Panthers forced turnovers on three consecutive Saxon drives in the second and third quarters as Potomac Falls put the game out of reach.
With the win, the Panthers go to 4-0 on the season. They will next face the Marshall Statesmen (2-1) on Friday, September 23, in Sterling.
